My cheap thrills shop was set up to provide a way for people to buy one of my artworks directly from me, at a more affordable price. I was sad that many admirers of my work could not afford the original oil paintings that I sell through the galleries so, in my shop, I will be selling limited edition fine art Giclee prints, etchings, screenprints, drawings and small paintings. Most of these items will only be available directly from me.
Delivery
costs and times
Shipping costs for the UK are listed alongside the item for sale. For
example, a giclee print sent 1st clas within the Uk will be £5.00,
Special Delivery will be £10 and there is the option to collect
the item directly from my studio at no cost to yourself.
Overseas buyers, please email for postage costs as the destination, size,
weight and value all affect the price.
Payment
All Payments can be made securely through Paypal either using your account
or a credit /debit card. I can also accept personal cheque or bank transfer
in the UK - please contact me if you would prefer
not to pay using PayPal.
All prices are as published and VAT will not be added.
Packing
Information
Giclee prints and drawings on paper will be sent wrapped in acid
free tissue paper and rolled into a mailing tube or box. Artworks on canvas
or baord will be sent in a box. Works framed with glass will require a
bespoke, wooden, packing box to be made. I use reclycled outer-packages
where possible to save you, the buyer money, and to try and save the planet
a little bit.
Giclee prints are archival-standard fine art prints produced using specialised pigment-based inks and high quality printer papers. It is the art industry's most accepted method of reproducing fine artworks. I work carefully with a printer who specialising in reproducing original artworks. I make sure that the colours are as true to the original as possible. I also oversee the type of paper stock used for each edition, so that the right effect is achieved.
The prints are produced in limited runs so if the edition size is 30, there will be 30 numbered prints and 3 Artist's proofs. Once that image is sold out, it will no longer be available. Each editioned print will be numbered, titled and signed by myself at the bottom of the image, within the border. Sizes quoted will be the actual size of the image, plus an approximate 1 inch white border all round. In some cases, the original painting will also be available for purchase.
Digital
Art Prints
These prints are produced in the same way as the reporduction prints,
but the image is something which only exists in digital space. The image
may include real life objects that have been scanned in or photographed,
but the final image will be created with the computer. These are artworks
in their own right.
Hand produced prints are original prints in their own right and are not a reproduction of another artwork. They are produced by traditional printing methods and my techniques include lithography, woodcut, etching, screenprinting. I have also recently moved into producing richly textured monotype prints which are more akin to paintings, as they are one of a kind. As with giclee prints, they are limited and will be numbered, titled and signed at the bottom of the image. Montoypes will be numbered 1/1 (which means number one of one type of image).
Framing
Framing is an added option that I can offer. Please ask if you would like
a work framed and delivered by courier. Please be aware that if you order
a frame with glass, it will not be insured by a courier and I may have
to use an art courier for transport.
