West Pier Study 4 is a small 20cm x 20cm study in Acrylic on a 4cm deep box canvas. The painting is of the slowly decaying West Pier in Brighton, Sussex, and is one of many artworks I have created of the pier over time, charting its slow collapse into the sea.

This artwork is unframed but ready to hang. A frame can be added on request.

On a day trip to Edinburgh I complimented this chap on his fine attire. It turned out he was the footballer Thomas (Tizzy) Nolan who went from the schemes of Granton to playing in Australia then somehow back to living in Edinburgh. He said I’d have to read the book about him if I wanted to know more!

The book is called ‘From a Scheme to a Dream and Everything in Between’ and he said to not judge the book by its cover! I guess he wasn’t impressed with the illustration choice 😂

I promised to share this pic to tell you about his book, that he is very excited about. I might just get a copy as it could be an entertaining read!

My husband sings this song incessantly at Christmas, so when I made this monotype print of one of the working Donkeys I saw in India, I could hear his words in my head!

This little one is off to the @glasgowprintstudio Xmas member’s show opening on the evening of the first Thursday of December.

I am also delighted to learn that my piece has been used for marketing the show in an article in The Scottish Field magazine!

Here’s to more in the series!
